About Danny
|
I've been a photographer as long as I can remember. My first big
purchase as a kid was a new Kodak Instamatic Camera. During High School I
used my father's twin lens camera. With my first summer job upon
graduating high school I purchased a 35mm Canon ftb and the equipment and interest has grown ever since.
In the last few years my photographic interest has strayed to other
formats. The first that I fell in love with was the panoramic image. I use
a variety of panoramic cameras, including:
- rotating lens cameras (Noblex 175, #8 Circut)
- fixed lens (VPan, Fuji Gx617, XPan and digital images stitched together).

I have also become intrigued with stereo photograph and some of the
amazing results you can achieve. You can see some of my fun (stereo)
photography on my personal website
listed below.
Photography is not how I currently earn my living. During the hours when I'm not taking photographs or working with them in some manner, I work as a Senior
Software Architect for ACORD, a non-profit insurance standards organization.

Subject Matter
I shoot a wide variety of subjects with most of my work created in
California. You will find a variety of locations but the largest concentration
is from California. The current selection of images is limited to the first
things I scanned in. But overall you can expect to find the following subjects
available on this site: landscapes, seascapes, clouds, ghost towns like Bodie
and Berlin, architecture, technology, transportation (planes, trains,
automobiles and ships), bridges, cities, public events and celebrations,
parades, national parks (Yosemite, Bryce, Zion, Arches, Sand Dunes, Acadia,
Smokies), desert wildflowers, insects, animals, zoos, circuses, museums and
abstracts. I have images from California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, Montana, Virginia, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey and Florida.
I have a wide variety of interests which equates to a wide range of
images that will be available on this site.
